Abstract
The purpose of this short paper is to indicate some of the methods of anaesthesia and analgesia which are now used in dental practice in the United Kingdom and United States. It will be presumed that the dentist and the anaesthetist are two separate people, unless analgesic techniques are used when it will be understood that the dentist and anaesthetist are the same person.
