Abstract

A wide variety of experimental procedures which result in alteration of immunologic status have been shown to cause an increased incidence of neoplasms. Evidence has accumulated showing that in virus induced leukemias in mice there is a period of immunologic deficiency during the incubation period before the onset of frank leukemia [26, 36, 125, 146].
