Abstract

The goal of producing hypothalamic lactation has become more accessible but still requires much further study from varying aspects. Substances more specific than phenothiazine and its sulf oxides should in particular be synthetized. Reserpine and haloperidol derivatives are at present being studied. The combination of such prolactin releasers with STH releasers becomes imperative in cows and sheep, and we have now begun a large-scale study of the possibilities of releasing growth hormone in laboratory animals. Paracetamol and some of its derivatives prepared by us may release growth hormone (Dikstein, Grotto, Zor, Tamari and Sulman, 1966). Combinations will be studied in cows and sheep.
