Zusammenfassung
Die in jüngster Zeit erzielten Fortschritte auf dem Gebiet der Physiologie und Pathophysiologie der Nierenfunktion sind so zahlreich, daß ich nur einige Aspekte herausgreifen kann. Nachdem die Technik der Mikropunktion von einzelnen Harnkanälchen in der Warmblüterniere den Nachweis erbracht hatte, daß die tubuläre Resorption des Glomerulumfiltrates in erster Linie durch eine primäre, aktive Resorption des mit dem Filtrat in die Tubuli gelangten Natriums erfolgt, haben in den letzten Jahren besonders die Fragen der Regulation des Resorptionsvorganges die Nephrologen interessiert. Die Klärung ist wichtig, weil mit dem Verständnis der Regulation der renalen Elektrolyt- und Wasserausscheidung ein wesentlicher Schritt zur Aufdeckung der Regulationsmechanismen des Elektrolyt- und Wasserhaushaltes des Gesamtorganismus getan wird.
