Phylogenetic Aspects of the Neurohypophysial Hormones

  • Chapter
Neurohypophysial Hormones and Similar Polypeptides

Abstract

The classic studies of Du Vigneaud and his collaborators led to the elucidation of the molecular structures of oxytocin, arginine-vasopressin and lysine-vaso-pressin in the early 1950’s (summarized by Du Vigneaud, 1956a).
