Abstract
In the preceding Chapter [D] we have developped the theory of compatibility of spaces, and we have proved that, if the spaces of a set are compatible with one another, all the laws which are valid in a tribe, are valid for them. Especially, the distributive law is valid in the case of compatibility. But it may not take place if the spaces are not compatible. Now we shall isolate some sublattices of the geometrical lattice L of all spaces [D.2.3.], such that they will constitute tribes.
