The chapter [B] contains some auxiliaries needed in subsequent chapters. We introduce the fundamental notion of the base of a tribe (section 1), of a covering (section 2) and also (section 3). some properties of two-valued measures on a tribe, i. e. those which admits two values only, namely 0 and 1. The main use of these topics will be in Chapter [BI.], C, and in the chapters, dealing with a special kind of integration.
