Zusammenfassung
Wer einem, eine künstliche Lichtquelle umkreisenden Nachtfalter zuschaut oder einer durch Erschütterungen von Fußtritten aufgescheuchten Küchenschabe gewahr wird oder schließlich bemerkt, daß ein kleiner Mäusekadaver Dutzende von Aaskäfern anlockt, wird schnell einsehen, daß Insekten Sinnesorgane besitzen müssen, die ihnen eine solche Orientierung gegenüber äußeren Reizquellen ermöglichen. Derart auf die äußere Umwelt ausgerichtete, beim Menschen die bewußten Wahrnehmungsinhalte vermittelnden Sinnesorgane erwartet man auch bei Arthropoden, wenn eine Beobachtung der genannten Art darauf hinweist.
