Abstract

Selten (1997) made a remark that reality is still full of undiscovered regularities and that we have to discover them. We showed in this study that by observing subjects and videotaping their discussions important behavioral regularities could be made visible. The most important ones are that behavior is guided by aspirations and prominence, that decisions are influenced by equity and fairness aspects, and that actions are affected by motivations, emotions and social norms.
