Zusammenfassung

Polyneuropathien sind sowohl in der allgemeinen Praxis als vor allem auch im neurologischen Krankengut eine relativ häufige Affektion. Wir fanden sie z.B. bei 0,4% eines stationären internistischen Krankengutes und bei 1,2% von 3700 ambulanten neurologischen Patienten (40). Unter den zahlreichen ätiologischen Gruppen machen jene bei Malignomen nur einen kleinen Anteil aus und von diesen wiederum sind die bei Leukosen, malignen Lymphomen und Myelomen selten. Sie nehmen aber dennoch insofern eine wichtige Stellung ein, als neuere Untersuchungen Licht auf die pathogenetischen Zusammenhänge zwischen der primären malignen Erkrankung und der Polyneuropathie werfen.
