Zusammenfassung
Seit der 1. Mitteilung durch Fischer und Hohlfelder im Jahre 1930 über eine zerebrale Strahlenspätnekrose vergingen 20 Jahre, bis Boden 1950 über Hirnstammnekrosen nach Bestrahlung von Tumoren im otorhinologischen Bereich berichtete. In der Zwischenzeit war 1941 von Ahlbom die erste Beobachtung einer Strahlenmyelopathie veröffentlicht worden. In der Folgezeit wurden aufgrund besser definierter Strahlendaten und einer Analyse der bis dahin gesammelten Kasuistiken Toleranzberechnungen des Gehirns und Rückenmarks möglich (4, 5, 27, 40). Durch noch exaktere Studien sind die Faktoren, die das Risiko zentralnervöser Strahlenschäden bestimmen, weitgehend bekannt. Die Morphologie der Strahlenencephalopathien und -myelopathien wurde in zahlreichen tierexperimentellen und humanpathologischen Studien beschrieben und in Übersichten dargestellt (18, 41). Hier sollen vorwiegend klinisch relevante Befunde referiert werden, denen großenteils eigene Beobachtungen und Auswertungen der Literatur zugrunde liegen (19–23).
