Zusammenfassung

Die vitalen Strukturen des Halses liegen in einem relativ engen Raum dicht beieinander. Sie sind hinten durch Wirbelsäule und Nackenmuskulatur ausgezeichnet, vorne durch den dünnen Muskelmantel der vorderen Halsmuskulatur und der beiden Mm. sternocleidomastoidei jedoch relativ wenig geschützt. Dennoch gehören Läsionen des Halses zu den seltenen Verletzungen, da durch die nach vorne genommenen Schultern und bei Beugung des Kopfes durch den Unterkiefer die vordere Halsgegend teilweise abgedeckt wird.
