Abstract
Every now and then, the serenity and permanence of the sky is disturbed by the appearance in the sky of a new star. The most diligent observers of these new stars during the first two millennia were the oriental astronomers, notably in China, Japan and Korea. They not only observed them, but also recorded detailed description.
