Zusammenfassung

Das Carnitinpalmitoyltransferasesystem (CPT-System) besteht aus den Enzymen CPT-I und CPT-II, der Carnitin-Acylcarnitin-Translokase (CACT), dem Carnitintransporter sowie Carnitin. Es katalysiert den Transport von langkettigen Fettsäuren durch die innere Mitochondrienmembran (Abb. 37.1).
