Zusammenfassung
Die periorale Dermatitis ist eine häufige Hauterkrankung, die auch im Kindesalter regelmäßig beobachtet wird. Wichtigste auslösende Faktoren sind die meist längerfristige topische Anwendung von Kortikosteroiden, aber auch die inhalative Therapie mit Kortikosteroiden beim Asthma bronchiale oder die systemische Gabe. Im Kindesalter spielt außerdem neben der Verwendung von zu reichhaltigen Hautpflegeprodukten die Anwendung von Lichtschutzpräparaten mit physikalischen UV-Filtern eine pathogenetische Rolle. Die Therapie besteht in erster Linie im, so weit möglich, konsequenten Meiden der auslösenden Faktoren. In der Regel ist eine topische Behandlung mit Erythromycin oder Metronidazol (off label) ausreichend. Die Zeit bis zur vollständigen Abheilung kann jedoch 1–2 Monate betragen. Differenzialdiagnostisch abzugrenzen sind sowohl andere Erkrankungen mit Papeln bzw. Papulopusteln wie z. B. Rosazea oder Acne infantum sowie Ekzeme wie z. B. das atopische oder seborrhoische Ekzem.
