Abstract
Fires cause economic damage, reaching productive areas, such as agriculture and livestock. This article aims to draw up a fire risk maps in João Pessoa City, Brazil. Using fuzzy logic integrated with a Geographic Information System (GIS), elaborated a thematic map based on land use, slope, density, hydrography, roads, substandard housing and rainfall, through methodology of multicriteria decision making. The results provided subsidy for public policy.
