Abstract
The article addresses an automatic identification technology and its most common applications in cargo tracking systems. Based on the data acquired, capacities of individual technologies have been described and methods of implementing them in specific telematic systems discussed. The paper provides an algorithm for the choice of automatic identification technology under preset real conditions.
