Abstract
The paper presents the solutions used on Polish inland waters which raise safety in water tourism. The presented solutions first and foremost allow limiting dangerous events caused by weather phenomenon and permit to decrease the number of injured people. Aside from contemporary solutions, the article presents an additional, new telematic system, similar to those used in the sea and ocean areas, which allows for faster emergency services reaction (Aquatic Volunteer Emergency Corps) to dangerous events (faster localization of capsized boat).
