Abstract

By constantly surveying those TK insurees with planned EU cross-border treatment, TK continues to further improve its potential of services and benefits: this includes, above all, consulting on services as well as quality and costs, but also co-operation agreements with hospitals, dental hospitals, as well as spa and rehabilitation facilities. This also covers co-operation agreements with hospitals, dental hospitals, as well as spa and rehabilitation facilities in other EU Member States. At the same time, the Scientific Institute of TK for Benefits and Efficiency in Health Care (WINEG) thus creates a valuable set of primary data on this subject which does not yet exist. The analysis of these data leads to knowledge which can contribute to the political debate on health care issues in cross-border health care.
