Basishygienemaßnahmen im Krankenhaus

Zusammenfassung

Zu den Kernaufgaben der Krankenhaushygiene gehören die Prävention von Erregerübertragungen und somit der Schutz vor im Krankenhaus erworbenen Infektionen. Ein grundlegender Bestandteil dieser Prävention sind die verschiedenen Maßnahmen der Basishygiene, deren konsequente Einhaltung signifikant zur Vermeidung von Erregerübertragungen und somit zur Senkung der Rate nosokomialer Infektionen führt. Die Maßnahmen gelten ausnahmslos beim Umgang mit allen Patienten, unabhängig von ihrem Erregerstatus. Die wichtigsten Maßnahmen der Basishygiene sind die Hygienische Händedesinfektion, Aufbereitung von Medizinprodukten, Desinfektion der patientennahen Umgebung, Verwendung von Schutzkleidung und die Einbeziehung von Patienten und Besuchern in das Hygienemanagement.
