Zusammenfassung

Der distale Radius kann nicht als isolierter Knochen betrachtet werden. Vielmehr steht die funktionelle Einheit des Handgelenks im Mittelpunkt des Interesses. Neben der Flexion und Extension sowie Ulna- und Radialduktion stellen die Pronation und Supination des Unterarms in ihrer Kombination die hohe Mobilität der Hand in ihrem täglichen Gebrauch sicher. Diese Bewegungsmuster müssen unabhängig von der Gewichtsbelastung sowohl für die grobe Kraft wie auch für die Feinmotorik erhalten bleiben.
