Zusammenfassung

Die Erstbeschreibung der distalen Radisufraktur in loco typico geht auf den französischen Chirurgen Clause Pouteau (1725–1775) zurück. Typischerweise wird der irische Chirurg und Anatom Abraham Colles (1773–1843), der erst im Jahre 1814 im »Medical Journal« einen Artikel über Frakturen des distalen Radius veröffentlichte, in der L iteratur häufiger zitiert, da die französische Literatur – unglücklicherweise für die gesamte Handchirurgie – im deutschen und angloamerikanischen Sprachraum relativ unbekannt ist.
