Zusammenfassung

Patienten mit kolorektalen Karzinomen werden bedingt durch den demographischen Wandel älter und haben eine höhere Komorbidität. Um den gleichzeitig gestiegenen Anforderungen an die Sicherheit chirurgischer Eingriffe gerecht werden zu können, kann sich der kolorektale Chirurg einer breiten Anzahl von klinischen Risiko-Scores bedienen. Dieses Kapitel stellt die Entwicklung von Risiko-Scores vom ASA bis hin zum Universal-Risk-Calculator dar. Ziel jeder präoperativen Risikoabschätzung ist es, durch präoperative Elimination oder Reduktion von Risikofaktoren das bestmögliche Maß an Patientensicherheit zu erreichen.
