Abstract
In this chapter, an overview of the effects of pressure on the crystalline structure and physical properties of selenium-based ordered-vacancy compounds of the \(\mathrm{A}^{\text {II}}\mathrm{B}_{2}^{\text {III}} \mathrm{X}_{4}^{\text {VI}}\) family is presented. Recent X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and optical absorption studies are presented with a main focus on the discussion of pressure-induced phase transitions and their related order-disorder processes.
