Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel beschreibt die Grundlagen der renoparenchymatösen Tumoren, wobei der Schwerpunkt naturgemäß auf dem Nierenzellkarzinom liegt. Auf eine Übersicht über epidemiologische Daten folgt eine Darstellung der Ätiologie und Risikofaktoren, wobei in dieser Hinsicht zwar einige etablierte Parameter definiert werden konnten, aber letztlich noch vieles im Dunkeln liegt. Die Übersicht über die verschiedenen histologischen Subtypen der renalen Neoplasien schließt auch eine eingehende Beschreibung hereditärer Krankheitsbilder ein. Abschließend wird noch auf die klinische Symptomatik und die Diagnostik eingegangen, wobei das Hauptaugenmerk in der Diagnostik renaler Raumforderungen auf der Bildgebung liegt.
