Testinstrumente werden im Gesundheitswesen, so auch in der Palliativmedizin, zunehmend verwendet, um »Outcomes« zu messen. Der Zustand des Patienten, seine Symptome oder andere Palliativbedürfnisse werden zu Beginn der Betreuung und dann im Verlauf erhoben, um Veränderungen zu beurteilen.
