Abstract

The passed “‘the 12th Five-Year’ national strategic emerging industries development plan” gave some guidance and advice on the sound development of strategic emerging industries, withal energy saving and environmental protection industry ranked first of the seven strategic emerging industries, which had brought the pharmaceutical industry opportunities and challenges. By constructing the operating performance evaluation system of pharmaceutical industry, this paper analyzed the empirical data in 2011 of some listed pharmaceutical manufacturing companies with principal component analysis, and found that the profitability of the business and operating conditions influence the results of operations more than other components. We proposed that the pharmaceutical manufacturing can improve business performance by increasing fixed assets investment and the technical research and development investment, raising the financial leverage, as well as improving the green development and the level of informationization.

Empirical Evidence from the A-Share Market.
