Abstract

Fractures of the tibial plateau interfere with knee function and stability. The degree of impairment depends on the fracture pattern as well as associated ligamentous or meniscal injuries. Today, diagnostic tools allow precise identification of injured structures and assist it decision making as to whether operative management is necessary.
