Abstract

In contrast to the use of deep-frozen allografts, a strict time schedule from harvest to transplantation is mandatory for viable allografts. The transplantation of viable meniscal allografts implies the availability of viable donor tissues, cultured in vitro immediately following harvest. Sizing of the graft is critical for correct implantation.
