Zusammenfassung

Der klinische Verlauf der chronischen Pankreatitis zeigt eine große Variabilität, die vermutlich durch die Interaktion verschiedener Risikofaktoren entsteht. Eine nützliche Klassifikation der chronischen Pankreatitis, die Fortschritte in Klinik und Forschung unterstützt hätte, lag lange Zeit nicht vor. In den letzten Jahren wurden mit der Manchester-Klassifikation, dem ABC-System nach Ramesh, dem ABC-System nach Büchler und der M-ANNHEIM-Klassifikation verschiedene neue klinische Kategorisierungssysteme der chronischen Pankreatitis entwickelt. Es ist notwendig, diese Klassifikationen in zukünftigen wissenschaftlichen Studien miteinander zu vergleichen und auf ihre Aussagekraft zu untersuchen. Das langfristige Ziel sollte sein, ein ausreichend evaluiertes Klassifikationssystem der chronischen Pankreatitis zu gewinnen.
