Abstract
As stated previously, coal burning is one of the major sources of mercury pollution in China. Here, Hg0 and Hg2+ are main mercury speciation in flue gas from coal-fired power plants. Generally, water-soluble Hg2+ is relatively easy to remove by water scrubber. However, Hg0 is very difficult to control[1,2]. Currently, more studies have focused on using activated carbon or other sorbents to remove Hg(g) from coal-fired flue gas.
