Zusammenfassung

Das Gehen hat für die meisten Patienten einen besonders hohen Stellenwert und ist aus der Sicht des Patienten das wichtigste Ziel der Behandlung. Die Effektivität des Gehens wird gesteigert, wenn der Patient eigenständig die Bewegungsrichtung nach vorne und zurück wie nach seitwärts ändern kann. Die Fähigkeit, Treppen zu steigen bzw. Bürgersteige zu begehen, aber auch selbständig Türen zu öffnen und zu schließen, erhöht die Funktionalität des Gehens. Als vollständig funktionell kann das Gehen bezeichnet werden, wenn der Patient sich ohne Hilfe auf den Boden setzen und selbständig wieder aufstehen kann.
