Zusammenfassung
Das hochmolekulare Poly(dimethylsiloxan), [(CH3)2SiO]n, wird in der Gaschromatographie als stationäre Phase (Tabelle 23.1) und als Gel in Brustimplantaten verwendet. Ungefähr 1–2 % der Silikone in Brustimplantaten sind niedermolekulares Material, das aus den intakten Implantaten austreten kann, durch den Kreislauf und das Lymphsystem wandert und sich in lipidreichem Gewebe ablagert.
