Abstract

The chapter describes and justifies the design of the study and indicates its focus on conflicts arose, their process and sources in the process of the curriculum innovation in Peking University. The chapter places the study within a primarily qualitative paradigm, indicates why a case study approach was chosen and describes three data collection methods: interview, observation and document analysis.
