Ihre Deponierbarkeit innerhalb des Atemtrakts ist abhängig von deren aerodynamischen Durchmesser und Löslichkeit sowie von der Atemtiefe und dem Atemminutenvolumen. Nanopartikel werden großteils systemisch wirksam.
