Abstract
As noted more than two decades ago, one or more large nodules may occasionally appear in a congenital nevus. As a rule, if a nevus belongs to the “large” or “giant” type, the patient is usually very young. However, similar nodules can be found in smaller congenital nevi and they can appear in adulthood as well. The nodules may protrude above the surface of the congenital nevus or they can be situated deeply within the lesion.
