Abstract
There are several intrinsic feedback control mechanisms in most therapeutic situations that cover a wide range from the acute to the chronic (see Figure 4.1). First the physician prescribes a therapy to the patient. This therapy can include several drugs that can be administered orally, intravenously, etc. For instance, if certain drugs are to be given orally, the physician can include other instructions, like special dietary considerations, exercise, physiotherapy, and so on.
