Zusammenfassung

Das Parkinson-Syndrom besteht aus Akinese, Rigor, Tremor und einer Störung posturaler Reflexe. Häufig sind kognitiven Störungen, welche klinische Merkmale einer subkortikalen bzw. Frontalhirn-bezogenen Symptomatik besitzen. Das Parkinson-Syndrom findet sich bei unterschiedlichen neurodegenerativen Erkrankungen, wie z. B. beim Morbus Parkinson, der Lewy-Körper-Demenz (LBD) und der progressiven supranukleären Blickparese (PSP). Alle diese Erkrankungen führen zu kognitiven Störungen. Gedächtnisstörungen sind testpsychologisch häufig als Abrufstörung detektierbar. Bei allen dieser Erkrankungen stehen im frühen Krankheitsstadium Defizite der Aufmerksamkeit und der exekutiven Leistungen im Vordergrund des kognitiven Störungsbildes. Im fortgeschrittenen Stadium münden diese kognitiven Defizite in eine Frontalhirn-bezogene subkortikale Demenz. Die Huntington-Erkrankung geht zwar selten mit einem Parkinson-Syndrom her, ist jedoch ein Prototyp einer Basalganglienerkrankung mit kognitiven Störungen, welche in eine Demenz mündet.
