Abstract
This book A Course in In-Memory Data Management focuses on the technical details of in-memory columnar databases. In-memory databases, and especially column-oriented databases, are a recently vastly researched topic [BMK09, KNF+12, Pla09]. With modern hardware technologies and increasing main memory capacities, groundbreaking new applications are becoming viable.
