Abstract
The latest innovation and development of optical fibers for 4G technology as the transmission medium of choice for most commercial applications in telecommunication system and computer networks in worldwide. High speed and ultra high capacity of optical communications have emerged as the essential techniques for backbone global information transmission networks. This paper thus describes the various losses for polarization mode dispersion (PMD) and Stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) associated with optical fibers using simulation models and its analysis. The fiber nonlinearities and performance of NRZ and RZ formats in high speed optical links. By observing effects of PMD & SBS optical communication and providing a certain technique to minimize the same losses and observe Q factor, BER of 10− 9 to 10− 12, signal amplitude, eye diagram and signal power spectrum with achievement of best results.
