Abstract
The pre-calculation of noise is one of the most challenging thematic within the design of electrical machines. Noise pressure levels have often to be guaranteed to be f.i. lower than 82 dB or 85 dB on load. Up to today no real calculation method exists to calculate the overall noise with an accuracy of 1-3 dB.
