Abstract
In this chapter, a summary of the conclusions obtained from the individual studies in Chaps. 4–8 are compiled and a synthesis concerning the reconstruction of palaeo-depositional settings and the tectonic development of the north-western German tight gas study area through time is presented. Further key aspects that emerged during the three-year study are emphasised.
