Abstract
In this paper we propose a methodology for modeling and representing the collaborative learning data coming from collaborative sessions. To this end, we first provide a newly created ontology called Collaborative Session Conceptual Schema for modeling knowledge from online collaborative sessions within Web forums. We describe the knowledge this ontology needs to know and its relation with other well known ontologies. The data collected in our ontology is to be transformed later on into useful knowledge about what is happening during the collaboration. To make this step possible, the methodology is enriched with a dialogue-based model to represent specific collaborative interaction data from our ontology. This model is based on primitive exchange moves found in any forum posts, which are then categorized at different description levels with the aim to effectively collect and classify the type and intention of forum posts. The research reported in this paper is currently undertaken within a FP7 European project called ALICE.
