Abstract

Wireless sensor networks consist of several tiny sensor nodes largely which were largely deployed to monitor the environment conditions. Each sensor node will forward the data wirelessly to the base station using IEEE 802.1.5.4 standard. The wireless network management will be different depending on the applications. In wireless sensor networks routing protocols, there are many control messages. Because of the limited resources in wireless sensor networks, routing protocol has to design to consider the energy. This paper proposes the new method based on AODV routing protocol to find the route using cross layer design. The proposed routing protocol can save the energy and reduce overhead compared to the original AODV.
