Abstract
The goal of an operation for prominent ears is to produce symmetrical, natural-looking ears, with no obvious signs of surgery having been performed. Therefore, a combination technique of the most beneficial features of three previously described techniques, without cartilage resection, is presented. This technique is easy to perform, has been tested over time, and provides excellent cosmetic results, a high level of patient satisfaction, and minimal complications. Given these considerations, it can be used as a standard technique, despite any differences in age and/or magnitude of defect of the patients.
