Zusammenfassung
Die Quantifizierung der Koronarverkalkung (»calcium scoring«) wurde vor etwa 20 Jahren mit der Elektronenstrahl-CT begonnen. Aufgrund der weiten Verbreitung und der Möglichkeit einer anschließenden CT-Koronarangiographie hat sich in den letzten Jahren zunehmend die Mehrzeilen-CT für diesen Verwendungszweck durchgesetzt. Die Messwerte beider Methoden zeigen dabei eine hervorragende Übereinstimmung. Verkalkungen der Koronararterien gelten als ein empfindlicher Marker für das Vorliegen einer koronaren Arteriosklerose.
