Zusammenfassung
Die Abbildung des Herzens stellt hohe Anforderungen an die Computertomographie (CT). Zum einen ist hohe zeitliche Auflösung erforderlich – je kürzer die Aufnahmezeit eines CT-Bildes ist, desto schärfer wird die bewegte Anatomie des Herzens abgebildet. Zum anderen muss die räumliche Auflösung sehr gut sein und am besten in jeder Raumrichtung deutlich weniger als 1 mm betragen, denn die Koronararterien selbst haben nur wenige Millimeter Durchmesser. Um das Herz phasenkonsistent z. B. in der diastolischen Ruhephase darzustellen, ist es notwendig, die Datenaufnahme mit dem EKG-Signal des Patienten zu synchronisieren. Zu guter Letzt sollte die gesamte Aufnahmezeit für das Herzvolumen nur wenige Sekunden betragen, und die Strahlendosis des Patienten bei der Untersuchung sollte so gering wie möglich sein.
