Abstract
The sales and distribution process, "order to cash" (O2C), has a central role in market-oriented organizations. All inquiries and orders come together in the sales and distribution process and this process provides the customer with the relevant goods and services. In most organizations, the sales and distribution process is comprised of the following parts: 1. Quotation/order entry 2. Provision of goods or services 3. Billing (invoicing) 4. Incoming payment
The objectives of every economically functioning organization are sales and profit. Sales and distribution is very important here. Let us consider the risks and controls in the process chain from the purchase order to payment of the invoice.
