Abstract
Wireless Multimedia Sensor Network(WMSN) is a fundamental technology which enables us to collect, transmit and process multimedia data such as video, audio and image data. This paper proposes design and implementation of the environment monitoring system for outdoor cultivation based on WMSN which is applied to management and control of roadside crop growing environment. It supports integrated control for devices to maintain the most optimal growing conditions for crop. It can also provide intelligent conditional information and service for farmers or device controllers by processing data collected and stored. With intelligent information and service, it is expected to support an efficient management for outdoor crop growing which has relatively large area to manage and is sensitive to weather outside.
