Zusammenfassung
Ein Zugangsweg zur psychotherapeutischen Arbeit besteht darin, das eigene Wissen zu strukturieren und einzugrenzen. Der seit mehreren Jahrzehnten verfolgte Ansatz des Autors beschränkt sich innerhalb der Störungen auf die Belastungsfolgesyndrome – und innerhalb der verschiedenen Persönlichkeitsstile auf den zwanghaften, den histrionischen sowie den narzisstischen Typ. Der integrativ psychodynamisch-kognitive Ansatz beruht auf einer Informationsverarbeitungstheorie, in deren Mittelpunkt die Verarbeitung konflikthafter Gedanken und Gefühle und die Veränderung von persönlichen Schemata stehen. Aufgrund dieses theoretischen Bezugssystems ist es möglich, eine Reihe von Vermutungen über beobachtbares Verhalten aufzustellen und daraus spezifische therapeutische Techniken abzuleiten.
